Wanaka's most photographed landmark is just a short stroll from town — the famous willow tree growing out of Lake Wanaka. Capture sunrise or sunset shots, relax on the pebble beach, or simply soak in the alpine views. Perfect for a low-key morning or evening activity.

It is easy to find, park by the Wanaka Watersports Building, then walk left around the lake until you find the tree. Generally there are a bunch of people taking photos so it is really easy to find.
